Acceptable Use Policy

This Acceptable Use Policy supplements the Terms of Service and applies to all users of Memo. Violations may result in suspension or termination.

1. Permitted Use

You may use Memo to design, review, collaborate on, validate, and export email content for lawful business purposes within your organization, subject to the Terms of Service and applicable law.

2. Prohibited Conduct

You may not, and may not permit others to:

  • Access, probe, scan, or test the security of the Service without Memo's prior written authorization.
  • Attempt to access workspaces, accounts, data, or systems you are not authorized to use.
  • Upload, transmit, or create malware, phishing content, unlawful material, deceptive campaigns, or content that infringes intellectual property or privacy rights.
  • Use controlled test sends to contact recipients who have not agreed to receive test messages or to substitute for a consented sending platform.
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Service, impose unreasonable load, circumvent technical limits, or abuse APIs or automation.
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to derive source code except as permitted by law.
  • Resell, sublicense, or provide unauthorized access to the Service.
  • Use the Service in violation of export control, sanctions, anti-spam, marketing, or consumer protection laws.

3. Test Sends

Controlled internal test sends are a quality-assurance tool for authorized internal recipients only. They must not be used for bulk outreach, prospecting, or any audience that has not agreed to receive test messages from you.

4. Monitoring and Enforcement

Memo may investigate suspected violations and cooperate with law enforcement where required. We may suspend, limit, or terminate access immediately for violations or conduct that threatens the Service, other users, or third parties, without refund to the extent permitted by law.

5. Reporting Abuse

Report suspected abuse or security concerns to hi@memo.ly or security@memo.ly.
