The Memo vocabulary.
The words we use, defined plainly - and why each one matters in your email workflow.
- Approval
- A recorded review decision that marks a specific version as accepted, moving it forward toward export or a controlled test send.
- Asset
- A private, workspace-scoped file - usually a logo or image - used inside Brand Kits and email designs.
- Brand Kit
- A workspace-scoped definition of your identity - colors, fonts, logos, voice, footer rules, and social links - applied to templates.
- Campaign
- A specific email you are designing - typically built from a template and a Brand Kit.
- Editor Document
- The structured, block-based content of a template that you edit on the canvas; it is compiled into email output.
- Email Intent
- A classification of what an email is for (for example, an announcement or a transactional message), used to tune quality checks.
- Export
- Producing final email output - HTML, plain text, or a bundle - from an approved version.
- Folder
- An organizational container in a workspace’s template library.
- Immutable Version
- A frozen snapshot of a template’s document at a point in time, identified by a content hash and never edited in place.
- Preflight
- A deterministic, server-authoritative quality engine that checks compiled email output and gates approval, export, and test send.
- Preview Dataset
- Workspace-managed sample values for merge variables, used to preview how dynamic content renders.
- Quality Profile
- A workspace configuration that tunes non-critical preflight thresholds while core checks remain immutable.
- Reusable Block
- A saved piece of email structure - like a header or product row - that can be inserted into any template.
- Sender Identity
- A verified from-address in a workspace used for controlled internal test sends.
- Template
- A reusable email design that lives in a workspace library and can be edited, versioned, and exported.
- Test Send
- A single QA email of an approved version delivered to an internal recipient - not bulk sending.
- Workspace
- The scope that contains a team’s templates, Brand Kits, blocks, sender identities, and preview data, inside an organization.
- Video block
- An editor block that shows a click-to-play preview linking to a video destination you configure.
- Table block
- An editor block that renders a structured grid - pricing tiers, feature comparisons, schedules, or summaries - with mobile-friendly layout options.
- Countdown block
- An editor block that highlights a campaign deadline with a banner, static timer snapshot, or live updating image on eligible plans.
