Gmail on desktop web
Follow these steps to install your Memo signature in Gmail on desktop web. Gmail may adjust spacing, proxy images, or apply account-specific defaults.
Before you begin
- Copy the latest formatted signature from Memo - Use Copy latest signature before pasting into your email client.
- Use a supported desktop browser for rich paste - Chrome, Safari, Firefox, or Edge usually preserve formatting best.
Steps
Step 1
Copy your signature
Select Copy latest signature in Memo.
Step 2
Open Gmail
Open Gmail in a new tab and sign in to the correct account.
Step 3
Open Settings
Select the gear icon, then See all settings.
Step 4
Open the General tab
Stay on the General tab if Gmail opens settings elsewhere.
Step 5
Find Signatures
Scroll to the Signature section under General.
Step 6
Create a signature
Select Create new and name the signature.
Step 7
Paste your Memo signature
Click inside the signature editor and paste normally. Do not use paste without formatting.
Step 8
Confirm images and links
Check that images, links, and spacing look reasonable in the editor.
Step 9
Choose defaults
Set defaults for new emails and replies for each sending address if needed.
Step 10
Save changes
Scroll to the bottom of settings and select Save changes.
Step 11
Compose a test message
Open a new message and confirm the signature appears.
Step 12
Send a test to yourself
Send the message and compare the received result to Memo preview.
Known limitations
- Mobile Gmail may differ - Gmail mobile often uses the signature configured in Gmail settings on desktop. Install on desktop first, then confirm mobile behavior.
- Gmail may proxy remote images - Images may require loading permission or appear through Google image proxies.
