Apple Mail on Mac
Follow these steps to install your Memo signature in Apple Mail on macOS. Apple Mail may restyle links or match message fonts.
Before you begin
- Copy the latest formatted signature from Memo - Use Copy latest signature before pasting into your email client.
- Use a supported desktop browser for rich paste - Chrome, Safari, Firefox, or Edge usually preserve formatting best.
Steps
Step 1
Copy your signature
Select Copy latest signature in Memo.
Step 2
Open Mail
Open the Mail app on your Mac.
Step 3
Open Mail settings
Select Mail, then Settings or Preferences depending on your macOS version.
Step 4
Open Signatures
Select the Signatures tab.
Step 5
Select the correct account
Choose the mailbox that should use this signature.
Step 6
Create a new signature
Select the plus button to add a signature.
Step 7
Remove placeholder text
Delete any default placeholder text before pasting.
Step 8
Paste your Memo signature
Paste normally into the signature editor.
Step 9
Disable automatic font matching if needed
Uncheck always match my default message font when formatting changes after paste.
Step 10
Choose the signature for the account
Make sure the new signature is selected for the mailbox.
Step 11
Send a test message
Compose a new message and send it to yourself.
Known limitations
- Apple Mail may restyle links - Links may appear blue even when Memo uses neutral styling.
- Dark mode may alter colors - Preview dark mode in Memo and verify logo contrast after installation.
