# Why did my test send fail?

Common reasons a controlled test send doesn’t deliver.

## Symptom

A test send didn’t deliver, or the action was blocked.

## Cause

- The version isn’t approved or hasn’t passed preflight.
- No verified sender identity is selected.
- The recipient isn’t an internal address, or a rate limit was hit.

## Resolution

1. Confirm the version is approved and preflight passes.
2. Select a verified sender identity.
3. Use an internal recipient and wait if you’ve hit a rate limit, then retry.
