# Why can I not approve this version?

Role and preflight reasons approval may be blocked.

## Symptom

The approve action is unavailable or disabled.

## Cause

- Your role doesn’t include approval permission in this workspace.
- Preflight hasn’t passed for this exact version yet.
- The version isn’t in a submitted state.

## Resolution

- Ask a workspace admin to grant approval permission, if appropriate.
- Resolve any blocking preflight findings, then re-check.
- Make sure the version has been submitted for review.
