# I cannot access a workspace

Why a workspace may not appear and how to regain access.

## Symptom

A workspace you expect to see is missing, or opening it is blocked.

## Cause

Memo scopes access to the workspace you’re a member of. If you’re not a member, or you’re viewing a different organization, the workspace won’t appear. Access is deny-by-default by design.

## Resolution

- Confirm you’re in the right organization, then switch workspaces.
- Ask a workspace admin to confirm your membership and role.
- If you were recently invited, accept the invite first.
