# What is Memo?

Understand what Memo does, who it is for, and where it fits in your email workflow.

**Who this is for:** Anyone evaluating or onboarding to Memo.

Memo is a creative studio for designing, reviewing, and shipping branded email. You compose campaigns on a canvas, keep them consistent with a **Brand Kit**, snapshot **immutable versions**, route them through **approvals**, run **preflight** quality checks, and export clean HTML and plain text - or run a controlled internal test send for QA.

## What Memo owns

- Branded email design in a block-based editor
- Workspace-scoped template libraries and reusable blocks
- Brand Kits: colors, fonts, logos, and footer rules
- Versioning, approval workflows, and preflight quality gates
- HTML and plain-text export, plus controlled internal test sends

## What Memo does not do
